The following cheap ISP comparison chart allows quick comparison of the important features of the best cheap internet access providers. For example, if you want a cheap isp with webspace included for your personal website you can quickly run down the "Webspace" column to find all the discount isps that offer webspace as part of the plan. Likewise you can quickly compare discount isp providers based on which supports Windows, Macintosh, Web TV, Linux, or other platforms, which are available in the USA or Canada, and many other features.
These cheap ISP providers are a great alternative to free ISPs because they offer much better reliability, speed, support, quality and features. Most free ISPs limit you to as little as 10 hours of internet access per month, which isn't nearly enough for most users. They also have annoying ad bars that waste screen space, and they typically do not offer support for features such as newsgroups. They also do not support computers other than Windows. They also generally charge for technical support.
In general, cheap ISP providers do not have those same limitations. Instead they are generally like other paid ISPs such as Earthlink or AOL, except at a much lower price.
Across the USA and Canada, there are over ten thousand different internet service providers. Obviously we cannot list them all, so we just list those we find that offer the best value. We include those that offer great prices in addition to high-quality, great features, speed and reliability. We plan to continue to add more discount internet service providers as we find new ones and have time to review and test them.
