Free ISP

 Cheap Internet Access

The biggest internet service providers such as AOL and Earthlink charge more than $20 for unlimited internet access. Even smaller ISPs and local internet service providers usually charge $19.95 or more per month for internet access. There is no reason to pay this much for internet access when there are fast, reliable and cheap internet service providers.

Benefits of Cheap Internet Access
The cheap internet access providers included here offer similar features and quality to the most popular paid providers, but at a much lower cost.

Cheap internet access providers also have many benefits compared to free ISPs. The majority of free internet service providers have already gone out of business or started charging, including all of the best services. The ones that are left have severely restricted usage and limited features in an effort to make money and stay in business. It is far from certain that the remaining ones will stay in business and continue to offer free internet access.

In addition to limiting usage to just 10 hours per month, free ISPs have many other restrictions. They force you to display banner ad bars that take up screen space, they only work with Windows computers, rarely have Usenet newsgroups, and they often provide no personal tech for free. Many of the free ISPs also have paid "premium" plans where they offer unlimited access without banner ads, but they can have the same slow speed and unreliable service as the free plans. Also, some providers such as Juno try to hook you in for a low price such as $9.95, and then raise it to $19.95 or $29.95 a couple months later.

These discount internet access providers do not have these same limitations and offer fast reliable access, so they are a good alternative to free internet service providers.

Cheap Internet Access Providers
Across the USA and Canada, there are over ten thousand different internet service providers. Obviously we cannot list them all, so we just list those we find that offer the best value. We include those that offer great prices in addition to high-quality, great features, speed and reliability. We plan to continue to add more discount internet access providers as we find new ones and have time to review and test them.

They give you the extras you want such as unlimited access, 5 free email addresses, 10 MB of web space for your personal website and a full Usenet news server. Windows and Macintosh systems are supported and friendly customer support is available via toll-free telephone 24/7/365. Choose unrestricted or filtered (family-safe surfing) for just $14.95 per month with no setup fees and no long term contract! (Use the promotion code DEAL or this Signup Page to get this low monthly price. The regular price for this service is $19.95.)
arcZip
Highly Recommended. They offer reliable dialup access with lightning fast connections. Plus they provide extensive nationwide coverage with thousands of dial-up phone numbers throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. They give you more than any other ISP by including 10 free email accounts, 100 MB of web space for your personal website, a full Usenet news server, and support for just about any computer platform including Windows, Macintosh, WebTV, etc. arcZip also provides friendly customer support available online or via toll-free telephone 24/7/365. Reliable internet access is just $14.95 per month with no setup fees and no long term contract.
AT&T Yahoo! Dial
Free trial - First month free. After the first free month, it is $21.95 per month, which is not cheap internet access. However, for a limited time, they are offering cheap internet access with a special price of just $15.95 per month, but you have a 6 month commitment. AT&T Yahoo offers 10 separate email accounts, web space, parental controls, personalization and more. Support for Windows computers and Macintosh computers.
Netscape
Netscape offers cheap internet access for just $9.95 a month and it comes with free Web accelerator. Billing support is free, but tech support is $10 per call. You get just one email address with your account. Windows computers are supported and there are access numbers across the USA. This discount isp is from AOL's parent company, but is distinct from AOL internet service. It costs less, but does not include all the extra AOL services. Yet many are happy to give those extras and AOL's proprietary system for Netscape because of the better speed and reliability.
Juno Platinum
Cheap Internet access for $9.95 per month. There are many complaints about speed and reliability. Tech support is reportedly poor and is only available through a 1-900 number that costs $1.95 per minute. Users report that the Platinum service still has annoying ads, even though the sign up page says there are none. From United Online, which also offers NetZero Platinum. Juno Platinum supports Windows and Mac OSX.
AOL 9
Free trial only - Get Unlimited Hours Free for 30 days. No banner ads. The free trial is a good deal, but after that unlimited internet access is a relatively expensive $23.95 per month ($19.95 monthly rate if you prepay for 12 months). Parental controls and 7 email address included. It works with Windows and Macintosh computers and they offer dialup access throughout the USA. You must install the AOL software to use AOL, and some users have had major problems with the installation process.
